Short for blog-note, it is related to a mini-blog, but has a defined purpose.
The mini-blog could be any smaller blog contained within a larger one--perhaps even a guest blogger.
The blote, on the other hand, is a small blog within a larger one that presents content the blogger
would like to post without displacing the more important content in his main blog.
