This can be found on the internet as a malaprop for "dope fiend." | The word "dope" has been around as slang for a long time. Since the 1980s: awesome, cool, enjoyable, excellent, fun, good, great, superb, very attractive, etc. "Phene" is a word used in biology: a genetically determined characteristic. Hence, "dope phenes" could be "good genes."
"Dope" has other slang meanings as well: drugs, fool, information, and as a verb "figured" -- "I had the situation doped out," or "I had it doped as. . . ." = "I had it figured for (as). . . ."
