To keep a constant watch on an ebay auction in order to win it at the last second without the chance of being outbid or having the price driven up by another bidder. Usually involves opening the auction several minutes before it ends, continually hitting the refresh button to check the time and bid price, and then placing a bid less than a minute before the auction ends.
