(adj., sometimes "elevensy") 1. Filled with brag about one's family, team, school, state, nation, ethnos, etc., especially in an "our-year-in-review" letter sent at Christmastime; (n.) braggadocio about one's family, team, etc. (not to be confused with "elevenses," which means "morning tea.")
(This term underwent a surprising evolution. Originally, Christmas letters filled with litanies of boasted deeds and aren't-we-amazing summaries were called in my extended family "wonderful, wonderful" letters (after a line used by Guy Lombardo impersonators). This led to "won-won," which became "one-one." And two ones is eleven. And a depressing overachievements listed in such pieces are "elevens.")
