Joint procrastination: When two or more people wait for each other to complete a task. The task never gets completed because each is waiting for the other to make a move. Intercrastination also occurs when two or more people are waiting for others to complete other tasks before they can commence on the common task, but each prolongs his personal tasks thinking that the others haven't finished yet.

Jane continued to apply her make-up in the belief that Pete was still getting dressed. Pete in turn took longer getting dressed believing Jane was still applying her make-up. Both engaged in intercrastination that led them to be late for an evening engagement.
