"I don't care" (from IDon't Care; that is, "IDC," which is, in Roman Numerals "600" (DC) with a preceding I (like a subtrahend: IV, which is "one from five"). Hence, IDC=599. Romans most certainly did not put subtrahend I's in front of D's or C's, but this is evidently a solecism or barbarity.
