A food anticipated to be so indescribably delicious that you would lunge for it and take the first bite with such wild abandon that you would gladly risk a "splurt" event. Two such events would be biting into a hot, grilled, bratwurst and having the skin burst and shoot droplets of juice on you or your tablemates; and spraying jets of saliva from the sublingual glands upon opening the mouth to take that first bite. These jets can sometimes travel 10-15 inches.
